Don't panic when the paver derails

When the paver turns, the right track is often derailed. The cause of the malfunction may be due to the tension cylinder not being fully ejected, or abnormal wear of the guide wheel flange.

Before disassembly, first check whether the tension cylinder of the track is fully pushed to the outermost side. Firstly, retract the tension cylinder to the innermost side, and then inject lubricating grease into the cylinder to fully extend it. Compare the length of the extension of the left and right cylinders, which is basically close. Secondly, remove the track and inspect the flange of the guide wheel for abnormal wear. After inspection and comparison with the left side, it was found that the height and width wear on both sides of the guide wheel flange were normal. When the tension cylinder was removed, it was found that the side plates installed on both sides of the guide wheel for positioning were inclined outwards, and the maximum inclination of the outer edge of the side plate reached 1.5 cm, which caused a certain deviation angle between the guide plane of the guide wheel and the normal straight travel direction of the paver, thus leading to frequent derailment of the track. Due to the welding of the side plate and the walking arm frame as a whole, a U-shaped positioning fixture was customized and forced to reset using a jack. Due to the thickness of the side panel and the presence of reinforcing ribs on the inside, the jack should work so that the size of the side panel being pushed back is greater than its outward inclination, and should be heated appropriately at the position where the side panel begins to tilt outward. The jack should have a sufficient working time to restore deformation of the side panel.
