Introduction to Gas Springs

Gas spring is a component that can achieve functions such as support, buffering, braking, height and angle adjustment. It is mainly used in construction machinery, such as covers and doors.

Gas springs are mainly composed of piston rods, pistons, sealing guide sleeves, fillers, pressure cylinders, and joints. The pressure cylinder is a closed chamber filled with inert gas or oil gas mixture, and the pressure inside the chamber is several times or tens of times the atmospheric pressure. When the gas spring acts, it utilizes the pressure difference on both sides of the piston to achieve the movement of the piston rod. Gas springs have different structures and types to meet different usage needs. Compression type gas springs are mainly used in construction machinery, which mainly serve as support and have only the shortest and longest working positions. They cannot stop on their own during travel.
